Winter Olympic Dream. Chinese Dream. My Dream
-To Carry forward the Spirit of Ice and Snow
On July 31st 2015, when International Olympic Committee President announced the winner was Beijing, Lots of Chinese burst into tears. This is an exciting moment celebrated all over the country. Thus, China has been the first country in the history to host Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
The meaning of Olympic Games is to promote people's physical and mental health. The father of modern Olympic Games, Coubertin，once said: “The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.” In the Olympic Charter, it emphasizes the importance of understanding different cultures.
It is also the spirit China wants to spread throughout the whole world. The emblem tries to combine Olympic elements with our Chinese culture. The design is inspired by a Chinese character “Dong” which means “winter”. The top half of the pattern is like a skater while the bottom half is similar to a skier. The belts in the middle of the pattern symbolize the rolling hills and the tracks around the venue. In my opinion, the color of the pattern is wonderful. Cool blue stands for the bitter snow and ice, while bright red stands for passion and vigor. The whole emblem together send the world a message, a message about Chinese Dream. We dream of making people from other parts of the world know our culture better; we dream of letting all the players do their best without the worrying about races, color and politics. All men are equal here and all games are fair. What we want is to unite our strength and energy, then to express our wish of peace.
Speaking of my dream, I'm really looking forward to the opening ceremony of 2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Olympic Winter Games. I wish that I can be a reporter. Why? On one hand, I like to communicate with others and exchange ideas; on the other hand, I have good command of language. I can speak Chinese, English and French.I can interview different players. Especially when they come across difficulties, I can offer some help. However, I'm not good enough to handle everything. In order to be a qualified reporter, there are still many things I need to do. First of all, practice makes perfect. I need to practice my oral English with more confidence. Second, I have to learn more knowledge about Olympic Winter Games. I should memorize the rules and all the important information related to events.
“Swifter, Higher, Stronger”, this Olympic motto belongs not only to players, but also to everybody in the world. Swifter in action, Higher in goal, stronger in body and mind. That is my dream, our Chinese Dream and also the Olympic Dream. Wish the coming Olympic Winter Games a success!

My Dream of Beijing Olympic Winter Games
When I heard that Beijing has been chosen to host the 2022 winter Olympics and Paralympics, I felt very excited. Beijing has become the first city to host both Summer and Winter Olympic Games. The emblem of Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter is called “winter dream”. It is a symbol of ambitious and dreams. In speaking of my Olympic Winter dream, I hope I could become an excellent snowboarder to join this big event.
In fact, I am a super fan of snowboarding. This sport combines elements of surfing, skateboarding and skiing. At the Olympic Winter Games, it presents several events: Parallel Giant Slalom, Halfpipe, Snowboard Cross, Big Air and Slopestyle. Among these events, the Snowboard halfpipe is my favorite. I am deeply attracted by challenging actions of snowboard halfpipe.
Every time I watch this amazing and challenging sport on TV at home, I am always amazed that these athletes could perform different rotations and jumps while sliding in the ice and snow. At the same time, their persistence spirit also inspires me. When I meet some difficulties in life, I draw strength and courage from them and try to overcome these difficulties.
Being a snowboarder is exciting. You could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and discover your ability you hadn't known before. It also makes your life full of passion and excitement. Becoming a better snowboarder is not easy. You should make great effort to achieve your goal and have courage to challenge yourself.
Firstly, building a healthy body is very important. A strong body reacts faster and will make you feel more confident on the slopes. So, I will start exercising every day in order to keep in a good shape to prevent injuries during daily training. I will also eat healthily and drink water properly to keep my energy levels up.
Secondly, language plays a basic role in making you a better snowboarder. I will make great effort to learn English well, so I could watch some English snowboard videos online and communicate with excellent athletes from all over the world to improve my snowboard techniques.
Thirdly, as a snowboarder, sometimes I need to step outside of my comfort zone to find my potential and make progress. When I follow a steady learning progression, I will push myself to challenge different tricks which beyond my skills.
In the end, being a snowboarder, passion, love and persistence for this sport are also important qualities which make you a better snowboarder. China already has two excellent snowboarders: Xuetong Cai and Yiwei Zhang. I am very proud of them who are very passionate about this sport. I hope there will be a lot more excellent contenders by Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. So, I really want to pursue my dream and try to become one of excellent Winter Olympic snowboarders. I always believe that anything can happen and my dream will come true in the future. Never give up and keep going !

Olympics is >， events like figure skating and ice hockey were added to the Summer Olympics. But it was inconvenient and would cost a lot of time and money. For these reasons, in 1924, the first Winter Olympics was held. At first, it was held in the same place as the Summer Olympics in the same year; Later, it was held in different places but still in the same year. Now, it is held between the two Summer Olympics.
In 2022, the Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing and Zhang jiakou, China. This will be the second time that China hosts an Olympic Game. People are all excited. As a sports-lover, my excitement is beyond expression. I want to be a part of the Olympic Games, but how? This put me deep into thought. Am I going to be a player? Well, that is not easy. To be a player, you need to go to a special school for sports and practice very hard since you were young. If you are excellent, then you may get the chance to enter the provincial team and join in some competitions. That could cost you several years. If you perform well in the provincial team, then you may be selected to the national team. That could also takes you several years. There, you will meet talents from across the country, receive more professional and systematic training, until you are good enough to take part in world-class competitions. If you want to compete in Olympics, one of the top competitions in the world, you have to be a top player too, even the best player in your country. How hard it is! Considering this, I decide to change another way to take part in the Olympics. Am I going to be an audience? Definitely! But it seems just too plain. So, what am I going to do?
When I am thinking, my mom comes, and she tells me that I can be a volunteer. Boom ! That will i do ! If you are a volunteer, you can provide help to both the players and the audiences. But then comes another question: how can I become a volunteer ? Mom says, “to be a volunteer, the first thing you should do is to study hard, especially English, because you may meet players and audiences from all over the world, and not all of them could speak Chinese. English, as a more universal language, may help you understand each other.” After hearing this, I decide to study harder, In 2022, I hope I can be an excellent Olympic volunteer !

As we all know, the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Being and Zhangjiakou of China. It is a great honor for all Chinese people, because Winter Olympic Games is not just one of the largest sports events in the world, it is also a window to display the overall picture of the host country, a platform for international communication and exchanges, and also an opportunity for the country to pursue new growth point.
Like every other people, I also want to join this quadrennial event. Sport is an important part of culture. This is a good opportunity for me to make friends from other countries and also to introduce China to people who are unfamiliar with our country. However, it is impossible for me to become a player in this winter game.Hence, the best way for me to join this event is to be a volunteer. Firstly, I have learned English for several years, so it won't be a problem for me to communicate with foreigners. Also, Beijing is my hometown, so I am familiar with everything in this city, like weather, food, places and so on. Third, I always want to be a journalist in the future. This would be a good chance for me to get in touch with this sector.
To be a reporter, it is necessary to have a full picture of Winter Olympic Games, including its history, its program and preparation that the two cities have made for the upcoming 2022 games. I can read books and surf the internet to enlarge my knowledge scale on these items. Thus, it would be easier for me to adapt myself to the report. I am really interested in skiing. If I have the chance, I would go to the suburb areas to try these sports. This could give me the experience and the point of view of the players.
When the game begins, I would have a lot of jobs to do. Firstly, I will report some sports games, like alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, speed skating and so on. In the report, I can use what I have prepared to introduce the sports to all readers or audience in my own language, so they won’t feel bored or difficult to understand. Also, I will ask the audience at the venue to choose the best player in their heart to make the report more interesting. Moreover, I can interview some players, no matter they are famous or not. It could help the audience to know their lives and how they are trained every day. I would concentrate on the interesting part of their training and games. I believe in this way, it could attract more young people to join these sports.
Journalist is one of the bridges for the public to know this world. Therefore, it is of great significance for me to become the journalist volunteer of the great sports games. The 2022 Olympic Games is more than a sport event, but a great opportunity for all Chinese people to know winter sports and to display themselves to the world. My Dream of Olympic Winter Games
2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Games, the 24th Winter Olympic Games will be held February 04, 2022 to February 20, 2022 in Beijing, China and Zhangjiakou City. This is the first time in history that China hosts the Winter Olympic Games. Beijing and Zhangjiakou are the host cities. It is also the third time that China has hosted the Olympic Games following the Beijing Olympics and the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games.
Beijing-zhangjiakou Olympic Games set up seven major items, 102 small items. Beijing will host all ice projects, and Yanqing and Zhangjiakou will host all snow projects. Beijing became the first city in the history of the Olympics to host the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games and the second capital city to hold the Winter Olympics 70 years after the 1952 Oslo in Norway. At the same time, China will also become a country that has hosted five Olympic Games of all kinds.
When I heard the news that China will hold Winter Olympic Games in 2022, I am so proud of being Chinese. Though I am a primary/junior student, I am also able to make some contributions to Winter Olympic Games.
As a primary/junior student in Beijing, I would like to be a volunteer in Winter Olympics. If I become a volunteer, first I need to communicate with foreigners who come from other countries in English. Language is the bridge of friendship. For now, I must do something helpful to improve my spoken English. Rome isn’t built in a day, neither English. It can't be improved in a day or two. It takes time and energy. There are no shortcuts to improve your spoken English; and the most productive way is to grab all opportunities around to open your mouth. For instance, taking part in all kinds of English contests is a good way, you can meet some excellent contestants, and you can share experience of learning and specific language learning methods. I will keep participating in all English activities to polish my English. I'm sure by the year 2022, I will be able to master English as well as my mother tongue. It is my pleasure to be able to communicate with foreigners in English. I want to let foreign guests feel our enthusiasm, and witness a fresh outlook of primary/junior middle school students in China.
If I am a volunteer, I will provide water and towel to athletes if required. I will also equip myself with certain medical knowledge such as first-aid skills to help those who suffer from a sudden injury. Besides, it is essential to regulate daily behaviors of volunteers to reflect the state of ceremonies in China !
From 2008 to 2022, from summer to winter, the ancient China has written an immortal glorious chapter for the history of the Olympics in the 21st century. Hello, everyone. I am so happy to be here to talk about my dream of the Winter Olympics.
I was born in Beijing and live in Beijing , and I love Beijing very much. When I heard that Beijing will have a chance to hold the 2022 Winter Olympics, I feel very happy and excited, and I hope I can do something useful to build Beijing into a beautiful and energetic city. So I'd like to become a volunteer. I am still too little to really become a volunteer, but I will become a student in junior high school in 2022 and can make contribution for the Winter Olympics.
Firstly, I will do my best to keep our environment clean. For example, the atmosphere around Beijing is quite disappointing. Factories and cars keep giving off exhaust gas into the air. We can hardly see the blue sky with our naked eyes and the sky is gray instead of blue. For this, we can do something useful. For example, whenever we go out for a long distance, we can ride the bike or take the buses and subways instead of taxis. Of course doing that only by one person is far from enough, so I will call up my classmates and people around me do that together.
Another thing I need to work on is my English skills. Teachers and parents often put great emphasis on my English skills especially listening and speaking. More importantly, in 2022, Beijing will host foreign friends from all over the world. They will have different skin color and speak different languages, but they all will have happy smile on their faces. Because the help of volunteers will make every friend who comes to China feel warm and happy. For this, I want to be a volunteer in 2022.
